Visser tray filling and seeding line
This Visser tray seeding line is complete with:
- Visser EC-40 tray filling machine
- Visser PSL II Granette 2000 nozzle seeder with dibbler
- Visser vermiculite and watering tunnel
- Roller conveyor
Visser EC-40 tray filling machine
The soil hopper is supplying the soil to the elevator by means of a conveyor which is adjustable in speed. The elevator brings the soil up to the filling head. Inside the filling head a rotor with rubber flaps is pushing the soil into the tray. This component of the machine is the heart of the effectivity: it creates a remarkable uniformity for trays and pots in trays. By changing the speed of the rotor and the height of the filling head the soil density can be adjusted.
The conveyor vibrates or better filling of the trays.
After picking up the seeds, the nozzle bar will be above the positioned tray, where the vacuum at the nozzles will be released so the seeds will drop into the centre of the cells of the tray.
After dropping the seed, as the nozzle bar returns to the seed hopper, the nozzles are cleaned out by needles that come out of the nozzle-ends.
The visser line comes with:
- 2 seeding bars
- Seeding nozzles
- Tray dibbler

- Covering system for dispensing vermiculite on top of the trays.
- Watering tunnel for overhead watering.
