Duijndam Machines drives the first pile for a new company building at Hortiparc Boskoop

Duijndam Machines drove the first pile on April 17, 2026, for a new, future-oriented company building at Zwedenlaan 10 in Hazerswoude-Dorp. With this investment, the family business is taking an important step in its continued growth and development.

The festive ceremony was carried out by the three brothers and directors, Robbert, Maurijn, and Reinier Duijndam. In the presence of employees, family, and friends, they jointly gave the starting signal by operating the piling machine. The new building will have a surface area of approximately 10,000 m² and will be constructed on a 20,000 m² plot. Completion is scheduled for the end of May 2027.

With this new construction, Duijndam Machines is responding to the growing demand for online searching and purchasing of machines for processing vegetables, fruit, flowers, and plants. The additional space will provide opportunities to further expand the product range. In addition to its strong position in used machines, the company aims to increase its offering of new machines and position itself more prominently as a sales broker for complex and specialized installations. In doing so, Duijndam Machines leverages its international network, website, and marketing channels to effectively bring together supply and demand.

The current location on Tweede Tochtweg in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel has become too small due to the company’s growth and will be vacated in the course of next year.

With this investment, Duijndam Machines underlines its ambition to continue working toward offering the best and most complete range of machines in Europe within the sector. At the same time, the company is still looking for a new sales representative, preferably French-speaking, to strengthen the team.

The day also had an extra personal touch: for Robbert, April is a special month, as he recently became the father of a daughter, Sammie. Her name was immortalized on the first pile.
