About second-hand machines for Grapes

Grape cultivation is among the most mechanized sectors within fruit farming. Mechanization starts with vineyard planting, where GPS-guided planters and laser row markers ensure straight lines and consistent plant spacing. There are systems that can install posts, stretch wires, and plant vines in a single pass, laying the foundation for fully mechanized pruning, harvesting, and crop management.

During the growing season, leaf trimming is performed using defoliators or leaf roller cutters, while weeds are managed with finger weeders and precision sprayers. Fertilization is done using drag-hose systems or row-specific applicators. Drones and crop sensors help detect diseases and plant stress early, enabling targeted spraying with tunnel sprayers or air-assisted systems.

Grape harvesting is often done mechanically using grape harvesters. These machines use vibration systems and catch mechanisms to gently loosen the bunches and transport them into bins. For table grapes, manual harvesting is still common using harvesting belts and mobile platforms, although vibrating arms and conveyor belts are increasingly in use.

Post-harvest, grapes are washed using spray tunnels or immersion systems. Sorting is done based on ripeness, color, and size using optical sorters with cameras and soft-touch technology to prevent bruising. For export purposes, grapes are packed using netting machines, flowpackers, or punnet fillers, often combined with labeling systems for traceability.

Modern mechanization allows large volumes of grapes to be processed within hours, from field to package. This increases freshness, reduces spoilage, and enables long-distance export with maintained quality and shelf life.
