About second-hand machines for Fruits

Different types of fruit require different machines for fruits. We have many types of machines in stock for any species of fruit.

Top fruit

These are, for example apples and pears (and are also regarded as tree fruit), they grow in orchards with huge numbers of fruit trees. They are grown in Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and Canada, countries in Europe that grow a lot of hard fruit are, for instance the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Poland.

For top fruit, we mainly supply fruit sorting lines and packing machines

A sorting line consists of a number of aligned machines, such as a box tipper (tipper or water dumper), sorting machine, conveyor-packing tables and box fillers.

Soft fruit

Examples of soft fruit are strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and different types of berries (these are also known as small fruit). The soft fruit is highly vulnerable and is, as such, grown, picked and packed with the utmost care. Because of this vulnerability, soft fruit is preferably put in the consumer trays directly after picking, to reduce the risk of damage to the fruit. Blueberries are sturdier, as a result of which these can be sorted and packed.

Soft fruit growers use different cultivation methods, as a result of which the harvesting is spread across a longer period of time. Due to these cultivation methods and the import of soft fruit during the Dutch off-season, supermarkets are able to offer a wide range of soft fruit all year round. Soft fruit is grown in the open field and outside the racks, but also in greenhouses and plastic tunnels. This will protect the fruit well against weather influences and birds. Sometimes, machines are used for these species of fruits, that are also deployed in the greenhouse.

Stone fruits

For instance Nectarinesplumspeachescherries and apricots fall under the stone fruits, a name which they were given because of the hard pip. By clicking on the link, you will directly go to the page with machines used especially for this type of cultivation.

Tropical fruit

For instance avocados, mango, citrus fruit (oranges, lemons, limes). They are often grown and exported from warm regions, such as Spain, Africa and Central and South America. After having been imported to Europe, they are often inspected on quality, after which they are sorted and packed.

Planting machines for fruit trees

Planting machines can be used when planting orchards. These machines create a groove in the soil, in which the fruit tree or bush is planted.

Machines for fruit processing

Fruit is vulnerable. That is why it must be processed with the utmost care. Fruit machines are characterised by the careful treatment of the fruit during the rinsing, drying, sorting, cutting, processing or packing.

Packing machines for fruit

For the growing and harvesting of fruit, in most cases specific machines are deployed, developed for a certain type of fruit. Packing machines on the contrary, are much more widely deployable for different species of fruit. Purchasers and supermarkets demand a certain type of packaging. Therefore, it may so happen that a fruit grower has different types of packing machines for one type of fruit. This is to be able to supply his products to multiple purchasers.

Packing machines for fruit are, for instance:
