About second-hand Receiving hoppers

Receiving hoppers form the basis of storing your harvest. For instance a hopper for a buffer and a dosed supply of products like potatoes, onions or carrots from a tipper truck to a sorting or bunker line. The even flow of supply is necessary in order to operate at a capacity that is as high as possible. Depending on the type and version of the metering hopper, the speed can usually be mechanically adjusted in frequency with speeds between 10 cm and 6 metres per minute. (depending on the type of hopper)

A potato hopper is often fitted with an adjustable set of rollers for cleaning. This is used for pre-sorting and sifts out both the soil and undersized potatoes. The presorted product is taken on a conveyor from the hopper. Depending on the product and the type of soil, either spiral rollers or smooth stainless steel ones can be selected.

Hoppers often make up a component in a processing or storing line. These bunker lines may be equipped with double belts, space finders and other types of conveyor belts.
