- Horizontal flowpack machines:

In horizontal flowpack machines, as the name suggests, plastic film is folded around the product and sealed along the horizontal (long) side. The product is fed in through a flat, horizontal conveyor belt.

Horizontal flow wrappers are used for packaging loose pieces of fruit and vegetables, such as bell peppers, tomatoes, and broccoli.

- Vertical flowpackers:

Vertical flowwrap machines are highly suitable for packaging products that have irregular shapes. These products drop into the packaging from above, making it suitable for packaging items like frozen vegetables, grated cheese, loose candies, or powders. In the vertical flowpack machine, film is folded around the product and sealed along the vertical (short) side.
