Depending on the product and the counting machine, different counting systems are used. On older models, a mechanical sensor takes care of the count. In modern counting machines, a light barrier detects the product. Old or new, both ways ensure a high degree of accuracy.

These counting machines are equipped with quickly reacting pneumatic valves under the counting closure.
