Lauwers is a family-owned business from Staden (Belgium) that has grown into a specialist in the design and construction of machinery for agriculture, horticulture and tree and ornamental plant nurseries. Lauwers machines are renowned for producing a perfect result, while reducing the amount of manual labour and manpower needed. The Lauwers range includes planting machines, hoeing machines and harvesters.

Lauwers planting machine

The Lauwers transplanting machine is frequently used for planting vegetables in the form of seedlings or soil blocks, such as cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and celery. This planting machine is very popular with growers on account of its unprecedented precision: the Lauwers HSP (High Speed Planter) can plant 80 plants per element in one minute, perfectly equidistantly.

In addition to other machinery, Lauwers also makes various top belt lifters for leeks, celery and celeriac. The harvesters come in a variety of models; some have automatic crate fillers, circular unloaders, peelers or shakers. Also, a variety of belt types are offered.

Lauwers has also developed into a strong player on the tree nursery market. Based on the principle of a top lifter for leeks Lauers has developed top lifters for harvesting saplings and young trees.
