Visser EC-40 tray filling machine. The EC-40 tray filler is a machine for filling trays or carrier trays with pots which are flat at the upper side of the tray. The tray filler has of a soil hopper, an soil elevator, a filling head with a rotor and a belt for transport of the trays through the machine. The soil hopper has a conveyor belt at the bottom of the hopper which transports the soil to the elevator. The elevator elevates the soil up to the filling head. The soil is put in the filling head where it will be divided over the tray by means of a rotor. The tray is put on the belt of the tray filler by hand or by means of a destacker in front of the tray filler. The conveyor belt of the tray filler transports the tray under the filling head. The conveyor belt has a grip surface so the trays will be transported during filling. After filling, the trays run under a rotating brush, so the upper side of the trays is brushed. The soil from the brush will be returned to the soil hopper. By brushing the top of the tray will be cleaned so there will be no soil between the cells of the tray, so roots of different cells can not bound. A couple of things are adjustable for working with other tray sizes or with an other result of filling (higher/lower density).

• The side guides of the tray filler can be adjusted for working with a tray with an other width
• The height of the filling head can be adjusted, for working with trays with an other height
• The height of the rotor in the filling head can be adjusted
• The speed of the rotor can be adjusted
• The speed of the belt can be adjusted
• The height of the brush can be adjusted.

 

• Electrical requirements : 400 Volt 3 phase 50 Hz +earth
• Capacity : Between 300-500 trays per hour. A definite capacity can be given when all the parameters are known. Such as: tray size, amount of cells, length of the tray, total volume and density of filling.

• Min. conveyor speed : 2 m/min.
• Max conveyor speed : 10 m/min.
