The cucumber is placed on the lay-on part of the machine on the chain in the bottom layer of film. In front of the sealing bar, the top layer of foil is placed on the cucumber, with the sealing bar melting the foil together. The cucumber is then transported through the chain to the oven. In the shrink tunnel, the film is tightly shrunk around the cucumber. This shrink unit consists of two ovens through which the cucumbers pass.
