The electric hose reel is intended to allow the hose to reel off smoothly and then powerfully roll it up again. The many designs of electric hose reels have in common that they considerably improve the labour conditions of the user during spraying and watering.

Electric hose reel with transmitter

Rolling out the hose is very easy because a magnetic coupling allows the drum to move freely. When the end of the path is reached, the hose can be rolled up on the hose reel with one push on the knob. This is done by a small transmitter which is carried with you and a receiver that is built in to the reel. It is advisable to choose an electric hose reel with hose guide for greenhouses deeper than 50 metres. The hose guide winds the hose neatly around the drum. The roll speed can be continuously adjusted using a mechanical variator.

Hose reels in combination with a spray boom

Hose reels that have a speed correction unit are able to roll the hose up at a constant speed. This ensures that the speed remains the same despite the increasing diameter of the rolled up hose on the drum. The hose reel must have speed correction if you wish to use it in combination with spray boom. The spray boom will then spray at a constant speed while hanging from the monorail high in the greenhouse.
