The paperpot machine has been developed to produce paperpots. Paperpots are made machinally from substrate and interfacing. They are used for cultivating cuttings and seeds of flowers, bushes, trees, vegetables, fruit and tree nursery products. Paperpots are often used for cultivating geraniums, roses and poinsettias for example. The paperpot ensures that the roots develop perfectly. Automation of cutting cultivation companies must include a paperpot machine for this reason.

How the paperpot machine works

The paperpot machine makes it possible to make paperpots from soil and interfacing using. This interfacing (paper) is usually biodegradable. The loose potting soil is supplied via a filling funnel equipped with a mixer. The mixer ensures a regular supply to the venturi. The interfacing is rolled off a roll via a guide roll and a folder folds it into a tube. A heating element glues the seams together at the top. A continuous “sausage” with the required diameter is made. At the same time the potting ground is supplied by means of compressed air through a venturi. The sausage is moved through by means of prickers and cut to the required length by a rotating knife.

Fully automatic paperpot machine

A fully automatic paperpot installation is a machine for automatically placing paperpots in trays. Higher capacity can be achieved in an efficient fashion by the automatic removal of the paperpots in trays. A fully automatic paperpot machine can be integrated in a plant cutting line. The paperpots are produced in the fully automatic paperpot machine the same way as described above.
