Each potting machine has a maximum pot diameter it can handle. Therefore, when purchasing a potting machine, it is essential to determine the largest pot size you want to process and ensure that it falls within the machine's capabilities. No, at Duijndam Machines we do not offer service contracts or on-site external service. All machines we supply are thoroughly inspected and tested before delivery, allowing us to guarantee their quality and functionality. For on-site service or support, it is best to contact the manufacturer's service network.

Most potting machines are available for immediate delivery. In some cases, it is even possible to pick up the machine shortly after payment. Do you need the potting machine quickly? Feel free to ask us about the expected delivery time.

Machines are delivered in good working order but without warranty. Our mostly pre-owned machines are thoroughly inspected by our buyers and technicians, including functional tests where possible. Non-functioning parts are repaired or replaced as needed.

Leasing or renting a potting machine is not possible at Duijndam Machines. Our potting machines are only available for purchase.

Reusing pots can be both a circular and economically attractive option. However, manufacturers recommend using new pots. This is because using used pots can cause problems during insertion if the pots are too tightly nested together. As a result, the pots may not slide apart (on time). This can happen if the pots stick together due to dirt, are pressed too tightly into each other, or are deformed.

If you still want to work with automatically inserting used pots, choose a potting machine with a dispenser that pushes the pots apart from both sides. Thanks to the dual pushers, force is applied on both sides of the pot, making it easier to separate them. Alternatively, you can opt to insert the used pots manually.

The most important component to assess the technical condition of a potting machine is the soil elevator chain or soil wheel. Replacing a soil elevator chain or soil wheel is an expensive repair, typically costing between €1,500 and €3,000 depending on the type. The soil wheel also serves as a good indicator of how intensively the machine has been used. All parts and exact costs can be obtained from the manufacturer or your local dealer.
