During digging, organic material is mixed through the most biologically active, (living) topsoil. This allows crop residues, compost and green manure to be incorporated effectively and easily in a single pass. This means the organic matter becomes immediately available as food for micro-organisms.

Due to the unique way the spit blades are positioned, the width of the machine is optimised and there is no plough sole. The result is also better water management.

Because the spit blade "pushes forward", less tractive power is needed compared to ploughing. Another feature is that the tractor drives on the topsoil, not in the furrows, so the deeper soil layers are not compressed. The digger removes all compacted soil to digging depth to create the perfect seed bed
