Grading 4: 50-60 mm: these potatoes are then cut into 4 by the slicer
Grading 5: larger than 60 mm

The machine has 12 product positions per cutting stroke, formed by 3 rows of profiled rolls on which 4 potatoes per roll are placed. The rollers are mounted between two stainless steel chains. The intention is that 2 positions are halved (45-50 mm) and 2 positions are quartered (50-60 mm).

The roller bed and cutting blade are driven intermittently. These are driven by two motorised gearboxes. The speed of the roller bed is adjustable by means of an inverter. The replaceable cutting blade is lubricated and cleaned via a water connection. All machine parts can be quickly inspected and cleaned by simply removing the side panels.

Stainless steel conveyor belt under sub-machine

This belt collects small parts that fall between the rollers. The belt can be loaded directly with the potatoes from the grading drum if they do not need to be split.
