Description:

Vanhoucke THBR3000 weed burner 300 cm

Small or large greenhouse surfaces are cleaned and superficially disinfected quickly and economically. Since chemical weed and disease control is subject to increasingly strict government regulations and the number of approved products is steadily decreasing, the Vanhoucke weed burner offers an excellent alternative.

Weed burning not only effectively combats unwanted plants but also deprives the seeds lying on the surface of their ability to germinate.

Applications:

• Controlling weeds on and along paths and sidewalks
• Weed control on surfaces such as walkways, terraces, driveways, and playgrounds
• Eliminating emerging weeds on seedbeds and ridges
• Maximum speed: 3 to 4 km/h
• Especially suitable for ridge crops with a 50 cm row spacing, such as carrots and chicory

As of January 1, 2025, the weedkiller Bonalan will be banned in the EU, leading to a sharp increase in the sales of weed burners for chicory cultivation. Weeds in chicory crops cannot be easily removed with harrows or hoes, and now that this pesticide is banned, weed burning remains the only option.
