Grimme RH2460XXL receiving hopper

So-called receiving bunker / storage / intake machine. These machines are used for the processing/storage of potatoes (or other tuber crops). The purpose is to receive the harvest when tipping trailers, clean it (removing soil, dirt) and transfer it to further processing lines — for example sorting, storage, or transport.

Bunker floor & internal construction:

The floor of the receiving bunker is built with deep, soft lamella pockets. This ensures optimal conveying of the potatoes and quick, complete emptying of the bunker. The side walls of the intake are lined, and the bunker floor chain is sturdy with large external running rollers.

Soil cleaning & cleaners

The machine uses 6 soft PU spiral rollers (polyurethane) for cleaning — these are product-friendly and provide effective separation of soil, stones, foliage, etc. At the same time, this prevents damage to the potatoes.

Adjustability:

The speed of the bunker floor is infinitely adjustable (0.5 to 5.0 m/min). The cleaning rollers are also infinitely speed-adjustable, and their spacing/hardness can be adapted — useful for different types and sizes of potatoes or varying soil conditions.
