About second-hand Chunk / Length grading machines

Sorting is an important part of the processing of your harvest. Traditionally, sorting has been a very labor-intensive and time-consuming task. However, nowadays there are numerous machines on the market that significantly lighten and speed up the sorting process. Just as there are various types of vegetables and fruits, there are just as many different sorting machines that suit the specific characteristics of the product.

Sorting machines come in different shapes and sizes. Consider, for example, sorting machines for a specific product, such as apples and fruit, sorting machines that sort by weight, and even sorting machines that sort by optical quality.

Specialized sorting machines also exist for sorting elongated products, such as carrots, beans, and roses; fracture and length sorting machines. These machines sort products based on their length, ensuring a uniform end product.

On this page, you will find all the used fracture and length sorting machines that we currently have in stock. On the specific machine's page, you will find all the information and photos/videos. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us so that we can provide you with personalized advice.

    Carrot Sorting Machine

Fracture sorting machines, also known as carrot sorting machines, are popular sorting machines used primarily for sorting elongated vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, and beans. The operation is very simple but highly effective and reliable.

The machine is equipped with a stainless steel plate with gutters, which often vibrates. As this plate vibrates, each elongated vegetable ends up in its own gutter as they move towards the exit. Before leaving the machine, the vegetables must pass through an adjustable-length hole. This hole allows you to easily sort different sizes and types of vegetables with a fracture sorting machine. For example, when sorting carrots, too small or broken carrots fall through the hole, leaving you with only the carrots that meet your specified requirements.

    Rose Sorting Machine

Length sorting machines are often used for sorting flowers such as roses, tulips, summer flowers, and calla lilies, hence they are also called rose sorting machines. When it's time to harvest the flowers, the product yield can be quite substantial. Sorting these flowers by hand is now an impractical task, but fortunately, it can be significantly accelerated with a length sorting machine.

The operation of a length or rose sorting machine is fundamentally simple: it sorts the product by length, ensuring that each bunch has the same length. Sensors in the machine can determine the length of the flowers, and they are then sorted into different exits by length, so that each exit contains flowers of the same length.

Due to the significant labor time savings, the purchase of a length sorting machine is often quickly recouped. Especially when opting for a used length sorting machine, the payback period is very limited. Jamafa length sorting machines, in particular, are popular.
