About second-hand Static sieve bends

Static sieve bends, also known as static screens or DSM screens, are highly efficient filtration systems for liquid-solid separation in industrial processes. These machines operate without moving parts and rely on gravity flow, making them energy-efficient and low-maintenance. The curved wedge wire screen (wedge wire screen) ensures optimal flow distribution, high filtration efficiency, and consistent performance. Typical slot openings range from 0.25 mm to 2.0 mm, depending on the application and required filtration level.

In the food processing industry, static sieve bends are widely used for washing and processing vegetables, fruits, and potatoes. They function as a continuous water filter, removing sand, peels, and organic debris from process water. This improves hygiene, reduces water consumption, and increases product quality. In starch processing, static screens are used for separating fibers and solids from slurry streams with controlled flow rates and high capacity.

In wastewater treatment and water filtration systems, static sieve bends are used as pre-filters to remove suspended solids, fibers, and organic matter. With capacities ranging from a few cubic meters per hour to over 300 m³/h, depending on width and screen size, they significantly reduce the load on downstream filtration systems such as drum filters, dissolved air flotation (DAF), or biological treatment.

In horticulture, static sieve bends are increasingly used as irrigation water filters and drain water filters. They remove plant residues, roots, and algae from recirculated water, preventing clogging in drip irrigation systems. This supports sustainable water reuse, stable crop growth, and improved nutrient management in greenhouse horticulture.

Additional applications include meat and poultry processing, fish and shellfish processing, breweries, soft drink production, distilleries, food ingredient and hydrocolloid industries, and pharmaceutical production. In these industries, static sieve bends are used to recover valuable solids, ensure consistent product quality, and maintain hygienic processing conditions.

Other applications include paper and pulp processing for fiber recovery and recycling industries for separating plastics and contaminants. Thanks to their robust stainless steel construction, adjustable flow rates, and high throughput capacity, static sieve bends are an essential part of modern industrial filtration systems.
