Baekelandt Leek cleaning/peeling and washing machine

Main machine completely hydraulically driven, with a hydraulic power pack with electrical motor.

The leek has to be put on a conveyor at the start of the machine. The leaves are cut of with rotating knives (clean cut). Then the leek goes through 2 rotating peeling tumbles with many peeling fingers, wich takes the dirty leaves and pulls them off.

Baekelandt's leek cleaning machines have a cutting, cleaning and washing device that enables environmentally friendly leek processing.

The cleaning is done automatically and ensures that the coarsest dirt is removed at this stage. The use of modern water treatment can significantly reduce water consumption.
