This tray seeding line consists of:

The Visser PLS2 vacuum nozzle seeder is still widely used in commercial nurseries because of its robust construction, accurate sowing, and flexibility for different tray sizes and crops.
The PLS2 uses an index conveyor belt to move the tray step-by-step underneath the seeding head. This is critical because the tray must stop exactly in position before every sowing stroke. The indexing system is one of the reasons Visser seeders are known for accuracy.

The machine is used for: 

• 330 cell trays

The dibbler: 

• Creates uniform seed depth 
• Improves germination consistency 
• Keeps seeds centered in the plug cell

Different dibbler plates are used for different tray formats.

The Granette uses vibrating vacuum nozzles.

Seed types: • Naked seeds • Pelleted seeds • Coated seeds

Suitable for all types of vegetables and flowers with the correct nozzles. Different nozzle diameters can be installed.

The nozzle bar moves over the vibrating seed hopper:

• Double row nozzle bar 
• Vacuum pulls one seed onto each nozzle 
• Vibration helps singulation 
• Adjustable pickup timing controls accuracy 
• Self-cleaning nozzles

The operator can adjust: 

• Vacuum level
• Vibration intensity 
• Pickup duration 
• Release timing

Seed release

After pickup: 

• The nozzle bar moves over the tray 
• Vacuum is released 
• Seeds fall directly into the dibbled holes

Because the tray is accurately indexed, the seed lands almost perfectly centered.
