About second-hand Telescope conveyors

Duo conveyors (farmers also tend to call them telescopic conveyors) are part of a storing line for potatoes and onions. The storing is a process where the potatoes and onions are stored in the storage shed directly after harvesting. The storing line usually consists of a hopper, that the kipper drops the product into, a duo conveyor, a store loader and/or a box filler. By assembling a series of these machines, the potatoes and onions can quickly and flexibly be placed anywhere in the storage shed, without being damaged. There are different belt widths available, for instance, when higher capacity is required.

 

Functioning of duo conveyor for bulk-poured product, such as potatoes and onions

The duo conveyor consists of two conveyor belts placed above one another. In most cases, these conveyor belts each have a length of between 6 and 10 metres. These belts can retract and extend above one another. These conveyor belts can also be positioned at an angle, relative to one another. This makes duo conveyors the flexible link in the storing line. This flexibility is important because the hopper can remain in place, whereas the store loader must frequently be relocated. The conveyor belts come in two models; trough-shaped or flat. In case of troughed belts, the guiding sides ensure that the products do not get damaged. The flat belts see to easy legibility.

 

Functioning of extendable telescopic conveyor; for boxes or mixed goods

A telescopic conveyor can also be extended. The difference with a duo conveyor is that a telescopic conveyor consists of one extendable conveyor belt instead of two conveyor belts. The advantage of an extendable conveyor belt is that there are no falling heights, while the length of the transport is still flexible. Telescopic conveyors are used, for instance, to load or unload containers with boxes or other mixed goods.
