A static sieve bend / bow screen used to separate solids from wastewater or process water. We describe this product line as a curved wedge-wire screen for continuous solid-liquid separation, typically in applications like food processing, horticulture, sewage water treatment, and similar process streams.
The pressure-fed sieve bend separates solids from wastewater and process water by means of a curved wedge wire sieve plate.
The liquid is distributed over the full width of the sieve bend through the inlet chamber by a pump or free inlet and flows over a curved blind plate in a transverse direction across the sieve plate.
Because the sieve plate is concavely curved, the force of the water contributes to the high capacity of the sieve bend. A hinged forced baffle ensures that the medium reaches the sieve surface at a higher speed.
The cleaned liquid disappears behind the sieve plate into the inner tank, after which it flows away via the discharge connection. The separated solids slide continuously over the sieve plate, allowing them to drain, compact and eventually fall down.
