By this knife topper the tailes of the onions are not deducted, but they are cut by the rotory knives. Special vibrators with a targeted number of vibrations punt the sieves with the onions on top in motion. Due to the high rotational speed and the special shape of the blades there is created a strong air current. This air current sucks the tails through the sieves and cuts off just below the sieve.
